WELLINGTON WOOL SALES
PRICES FIRM [Per United Paisa Association.] WELLINGTON, March 20. .The final wool sale of the season in Wellington to-day realised anticipations, and satisfaction was expressed or all sides. A total of 33,600 bales was offered. There was a full attendance of buyers, the bidding was brisk, and from all quarters. Wool of practically all qualities was wanted, and the only disappointing feature was the extremely poor demand for merino. For all super crossbred wool tho demand was good, and prices were up to the February rates, and over. There was also a good demand for average qualities, and these were from to better than last sale. Inferior wools were firm, but showed no change on the February rates. There was a good supply ol lambs’ wool, and average wool was about Id down. Southdown lambs' wool was a disappointing seller. The February rates were realised for bellies and pieces. The official range of prices is as follows, the figures for the previous Wellington sale being given first, and then those for to-day's sale
