(Keeeived March 19, at 10.30 a.m.) Unemployment, strikes, and the conditions in the coal industry arc having such a serious effect upon tho child endowment fund that the State Cabinet is perturbed at the position that has been created. Tho fund from which tho endowment claims are made has become exhausted, and it is possible that tho Government may rcimposo the tux on wages sheets until another scheme is devised to provide the payments for endowments.
