ANNUAL FLOWER SHOW The Dund'as Street'Methodists held their annual flower show on Tuesday evening. The storm which raged in the early part of the day had its ill effects on the cut bloom entries, but nevertheless the comprehensive schedule which provided for eighth-eight classes attracted entries in sixty-eight classes. The judges of the various ‘sections were as follow:—Decorative exhibits, Miss Turner: cut bloom, vegetable, and fruit,- Mr J. Rennie; cookery and sweets, Mr J. Helmkey. The awards were as follow: Table decoration. Four entries.-—-Miss H. Divers 1, Miss D. Rigby 2, Mrs Bird 3.

Owing to the generosity of one of the lady patrons, it was abide possible to award prizes for the most points in each section, and the following were the winners and runners-up;— Most points in decorative section. — Miss Cable 6 points. Miss Uren 3 points. Most points in cut bloom section. — Miss Uren 23 points, Mrs Buddie 13 points. Most points in vegetable section.— Mr M'Lean 10 points, Miss M'Cabe 9 points. Most points in’cookery section.— Mrs W.' M'Farlano 17 points, Mrs Bruce 10 points. Most points in,sweets section.—Miss M. Bruce 7 .points, Mrs Bird 3 pointy
Most points in fruit section.— Mrs Stark 8 points, Mrs G. Scott and Miss A. Cable 7 points each. Most points in pot plants.—P. Skene and J. Skene 8 points each. The winners generously presented their prizes to the flower show funds. The committee_ desires to express its thanks to the judges, who have cheerfully given their time to judge the exhibits, and to record that their verdicts were accepted by all the exhibitors.
