(Received March 5, at 11.30 a.m.) Tho former President, Callcs, has taken over the duties of quelling tho Mexican military revolt. Ho has been made Secretary of War. The States of Sonora and Vera Cruz are controlled by the rebels, who also claim six- other States. There was no bloodshed, the revolting military commanders talcing control without firing; but the revolutionary troops began moving northward from Vera Cruz to-day in the direction of Mexico City.—Australian Cress Asso-ciation-United Service.
