PRINCESS THEATRE

BURLESQUE ON ARMY LIFE The most' hilarious burlesque on army life ever presented on any stage is the claim made ior ‘ Khaki,’ _ which is to have its initial presentation at the Princess Theatre to-night by Frank ©’Brian’s Revellers. This company has been responsible Jor some really bright and uproarious entertainments during the past lour weeks, so that there is every reason to expect something out ot the ordinary in revue fare. When presented in Christchurch ‘ Khaki ’ scored an outstanding success, and was hailed by critics and public alike as the company’s best and also the gayest revue production seen in the northern city. The production will comprise the entire second hall of tho programme, and will be enacted amid six big scenes of colour and action, made up of ‘T be Bungles Home, ‘The Recruiting Office,’ ‘Tho Barracks Square,’ ‘The Trenches, Ilio Raihvav Station,’ and ‘The British Legion*Club.’ With such recruits as Frank O’Briau, Joe Hudson, Bert Lee, and Ernie Brookes there should be some really live fuu invested into the rollicking scenes. The first hall of the bill will be devoted to vaudeville items of tho highly diverting and sparkling nature of previous performances. All the vocalists will bo heard in new' numbers, while tho ballet or eight attractive and clover girls and the ’Varsity Boys’ Jazz Band will appear in another edition of novelties. The new show should be productive ot a good night’s inn, and patrons aie advised to book early.
