WAIKOUAITI RACES
The Railway Department has provided an excellent train service lor this popular picnic meeting to-morrow, and trains will leave Dunedin station at 9.55 a.m., 10.15 a.in., and 10.29 am. The course and appointments have been much improved since last New Year’s Day, and there will be plenty of room lor everyone. Both roads, over the Kilmog and via Karitane, are now in splendid order lor motoring. The following horses should run prominently : Bray Memorial.—Meadow Lark, First Raid, and Royal Tractor. Highweight Handicap.— I Tripaway, Rotorex, and Lady M'Kenna. Waikonaiti Cup.—Front Rank, Beau Geste, and Lucy Lockett. Hawkesbury Hack Handicap.—Page Boy, Proud Knight, Attract. New Year Trot.— Kola Wilkes, Onoto, and Hawkosbnry’s Pride. Domain Trot.—Doncliff, Cytheria, and Bon Wood.
