Missions OF PEACE FREQUENT FOREIGN CRUISES. Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright NEW YORK, December 28. Mr Herbert Hoover, the Presidentelect, who is returning from Hampton Roads on the U.S.S. Utah, stated that one of his major ambitions will be to build up closer relations between America and foreign countries by the use of navy ships, which arc likely to be seen in foreign ports on friendly missions much more frequently during the Hoover Administration than ever before. He believes that the navy has a peace mission which is as important as its part in national defence.—Australian Press Association.
