TO-MORROW'S CHURCH SERVICES
At First Church Dr Herrington will conduct Christmas services, the subjects announced for the morning service being ‘ The Name Above Every Name,’ and at night ‘The Power of tho Highest.’ Dr Galway will play an organ prelude at 6.15 p.m. Christmas music will bo rendered, and at the close of tho service tho choir will sing carols. It is announced that Dr Herrington will close his ministry in First Church on tho following Sunday. In Knox Church Rev. Tulloch Ymlle will conduct farewell services. At tho. evening service selections from ‘ The Messiah. ’ will be rendered, with Miss Stuart Mitchell and Mr Jack Clark as soloists. Hon. G. M. Thomson will speak at the close of the service to hid Mr Tuille farewell. Tho Rev. R. Ferguson Fish will preach at both services in the Oaversham Presbyterian ChurchAt tho North-east Valley Presbyterian Church Christmas services will bo held. The Eev. George Miller will preach. Morning subject, ‘A Christmas Message’; evening subject, ‘Giving God the Residue Only.’ A carol service will bo held in St. Pauls Cathedral in the evening at 6.30, tho soloists being Miss B. T. Hey wood and Mr H. Drake. Mr 13, Heywood, P.R.C.0., will be lbs accompanist, and will also play solos. Christmas services will be held in ‘Trinity Methodist Church, Stuart street, the Rev. H. V. Tilling preaching in tho morning aud tho Bert H. E. Dollhouse officiating in the evening, taking for his subject ‘The Crowding .Out of the Child.' Tho solo ‘Nazareth ' will be sung by Mr H. Kennedy Black. . ~ Christmas services will be held at the Central Mission, Octagon Hall, Rev. W. Walker will preach on ‘No Room in tho Inn’ and ‘Tho Message of Christmas.’ At tho evening service solos will be rendered by Miss Muriel Eager and Mr Morttey Peake. After the service Mr C. A. Martin will play organ music. Tho preachers at tho T)uiidas Street Methodist Church for tho Christmas, services will bo Mr E. Bush in the morning and the Rev. W. H. Hocking in the evening. Cargill Road Methodist Church will hold a Christmas carol service at 6.30 p.m; Rev. W B. Scott will be tho preacher and Miss Ron a Soott will recite a modern version of 1 The Vagabond’s Homecoming, accompanied by Mr F. Cawley on the grand organ. At St. Kilda Methodist Church Rev. A C. Lawry will conduct Christmas services at 11 a.ni. and 6.30 p.m. Tho Eev. C. Maitland Elhss will preach at the United Congregational Church, his subject in tho morning being ‘The Message of the Angels’; evening, ‘Emmanuel—God With Us.’ , , . 4. Christmas choral service will bo held in’Hanover Street Baptist Church in the evening, when selections from Handels The Messiah ’ will he rendered by the church choir augmented, by members of the Dunedin Choral Society, under tho conduetorship of Mr H. P. Desmoulins. The following soloists will assist.—Mrs W. J. Davidson. Misses Eileen Young, Mary and Netta Wilkie, Messrs L. B. Dailey and F. C. York Place Hall in the evening Mr Frank Varley’s subject will bo ‘JesnsFnvmanucl—God With Us.
