ELECTROCUTED. A Waipukurau Association telegram states, that a fatal accident Occurred this morning, when John William Tyrie, a married engineer, at Waipukurau Public Hospital, came into contact with a live wire while Working at tho isolation ward, and was electrocuted. \ PITCHFORK THROUGH FOOT. An inmate of the Waikeria Borstal (Hamilton), John Lawrence Cosgrove, drove a pitchfork through his foot eight days ago, and wins admitted to Waikato Hospital two days ago with tetanus symptoms. No tetanus was found, but pneumonia developed and diphtheria. The patient collapsed suddenly and died. At the inquest a verdict of natural causes was returned, with the addition that every care was taken by the institute authorities for the welfare of tho patient after the accident.—Press Association.
