After a trotting exercise ho improved, and he galloped freely in a fast six furlong spin, in which he had Battle Colours for a. mate. M’Aulay made up,his mind alter the gallop to take Sir Roy north. The latter nnd Nightmarch left tonight to compete at the Manawatu Meeting. At Riccartou to-day Star Raid and Nightmarch were companions over five furlongs. Nightmarch was slightly in front at the winning post in Imin 2 4.-ssec, It was a smart gallop, and Star Raid impressed.
