HEW SOUTH WALES INDUSTRY CRISIS FORESHADOWED Prets Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. SYDNEY, December IS. (Received December 19, at 10.30 a.m.) Sir Arthur Duckham and Air Dougal Malcolm (members of the British Economic Mission), after inspecting the coalfields at Newcastle and Maitland, stated that it was apparent that a serious crisis was impending in the coal industry of Australia. Sir Arthur Duckham said that unless New South Wales coal could be sold in Australia at a lower price than imported coal, there would bo no option but to close the mines.
