(Received December 20, at 10.15 a.m.) Complete reports from forty-two States on file by tiio United States Public Service indicate that over 700,000 persons are afflicted with influenza. Although the oflicial reports accounted for only 111,000 new cases for the week ending December 15, the officials estimated that these are loss than a fifth of the total number. —Australian P.A.
