SALVAGE IMPRACTICABLE Prow Association—By Telegraph—Copyright LONDON. December 18. Work has ceased aboard the Celtic owing to the weather and sea conditions growing worse. The White Star superintendent at Queenstown notified the company that there was extensive damage to the bottom, making salvage of the ship impracticable. He expressed tho opinion that further salvage expenditure was not justified.—Australian Press Association.
