CENTRAL MISSION
The quarterly meeting of the officials : was held last evening, when the Hey. : IV. Walker presided over a large at--1 tendance. Jlcfercnco was made to the i death of the Into Mr A. C. Mr D. C. Uaincron was edited conference representative, and Messrs Cameron and \V. Aitkon were re-elected circuit steward. For services as circuit steward extending over twentylive years Air W. Aitkcn was presented with a gold-mounted fountain pen. (several members expressed sincere appreciation of the recipient’s loyal and faithful services rendered, to the mission. Air Aitken suitably replied. Donations were made during the quarter to the South Island Orphanage and to ihe Solomon Islands Mission. Arrangements were made for the reception ol the Hov. J. E. Draper (Auckland), who will conduct services during January and February, and acceptance was received from the Hev. G. 13. Million (Auckland) of the invitation extended to succeed the Hev. W. Walker next year. Congratulations were extended to Dr E. X. Merrington on* his appointment as master of Knox College. Appreciation was expressed to the choir, organist, and choirmaster for tho excellent work rendered to tho ■mission services. The meeting wished Hev. W. \\ alker and Airs Walker a pleasant holiday in Auckland, and the season t greevngs were extended to Sister Hazel, and thanks accorded to those leaders for faithful services rendered during another year
