RIFLE SHOOTING
KAITANGATA CLUB The Kaitaugata Ride Club fired the second 6ta°e of the teams’ match on Saturday last. Though fine, the conditions were very bad for shooting, a bright light and fishtail wind from the front upsetting the calculations of the most experienced riflemen. J. Maokie put on a good. 43 at 500yds, but struck trouble all the-way at 600yds, and could get only 38 there, even then proving top, scorer for the dav off the rifle. Owing to pressure of work the attendance was poor, only ten men turning up. Next Saturday 1 1 shoot-will he a scratch match practice, ten shots at AW and 600 yards; after which there will probably be no shooting until January 11. Ihc following are the scores Jmut ao):
