The Eastmoor completed discharging her Montreal cargo last evening, and sailed this morning for Newcastle to replenish her bunkers,' and will later load wheat at a Victorian port for the United Kingdom. The Katoa arrived this morning from Auckland via ports to discharge general cargo. She is to sail this evening for Bluff, and will return to this port on Friday to load for East Coast ports and Auckland. The Kahika sailed late last evening for Oamaru, Timaru, and Lyttelton to complete loading for Napier and Gisborne. The .Waipabi will leave this evening for Lyttelton, Wellington, and Auckland. The. Karetu is due ou Thursday, and sails the same day for Bluff and Sydney. -
Tho Kaiapoi, which was due tins afternoon from Westport via Bluff, sails to-morrow for Oamaru and Timaru. The Waipiata is timed to leave Auckland to-morrow, and is duo here on December 28, The Marama, from Sydney, arrived at Auckland this morning, and sails at--3 p.m. on Thursday for tho return trip. The Calm is now duo at Dunedin on Friday from Bluff to load general cargo for Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington, Picton, and Wanganui, The steamer Anglo-Colmnbian, 8,407 tons, has been chartered to load sulphur at Galveston, Texas, for New Zealand and Australia. - THE FERRY SERVICE. The Wahine, from Wellington, arrived at Lyttelton at 6.40 a.m. to-day,, and passengers and • mails connected with tho express. RIMUTAKA AND RUAHINE. The Rimutaka is to leave Southampton on January 25 for Wellington, where she is due on March 5 to disembark passengers only. She will proceed to Port Chalmers, Lyttelton, Timaru. and Oamaru for discharge. The Ruahine is scheduled to leave Southampton on January 18 for "Wellington and Auckland. She is expected to arrive at Wellington about February 25. =■...... SOMERSET’S ITINERARY. The Federal Lino advises that the Somerset, which is now discharging Liverpool cargo at Dunedin, will afterwards go to Port Chalmers to load products for England. The vessel will leave this port on December 29 for Auckland, New Plymouth, Wellington, and Lyttelton to complete loading. She will sail finally from Lyttelton about January 22 for London, Avonmouth, Glasgbw, and Liverpool, via P.anuma. TRANSPACIFIC CARGO SERVICE. Tho Union. Company announces thefollowing movements of vessels engaged in the transpacific cargo service Sussex left Los Angeles on December 3 for Hobart, Beauty Point, Melbourne, and Adelaide, and is duo at Hobart about January 3. Wairuna left Los Angeles on December'9, is duo at Papeete on December 24,,at Auckland on January 6, and will go thence to Wellington, Melbourne, and Sydney. Waikawa will load at Vancouver, San Francisco, and Los Angeles for Napier, Lyttelton, Dunedin, Blulf, and Now Plymouth. She is to clear Los Angeles on December 30, and is due at Napier on January 25. Hauraki will load for Auckland, Wellington, Melbourne, Adelaide, and Sydney at Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Vancouver. She is to clear Vancouver on January 5, and is due at Auckland on January 29. ■. Loading at, Vancouver, San I'rancisco, and Los’Angeles, the Waitemata is to leave tlio last-named port on February 3 for Auckland, Wellington, Melbourne, and Sydney, and is due at Auckland on February 28.
Waihemo is to leave Vancouver on February 1 and San Francisco on February 20 for Auckland, Wellington, Melbourne, and Sydney, and is due at Auckland on, March. 17.. STEAMERS FROM LIVERPOOL. Messrs Turnbull, Martin, and Co. have received advice that tho following vessels ate "to leave Liverpool for tho four 'main ports of New Zealand: — Westmoreland, January 5; Middlesex, January 5; HuntingdonFebruary 16, Cambridge, March 2; Norfolk, March 30; Kent, April 13; Cumberland, May 11; and Cornwall, Juno 6. Tho lirst port of call in New Zealand for all these vessels is Auckland. PRODUCTS FOR ENGLAND. Having loaded 50,000 boxes of butter, 117,000 crates of cheese, 800 crates of meat, and 11,000 hales of wool at Auckland, the motor vessel Karamea left the northern port at noon last Thursday for London. Slio is also carrying the following passengers;— Miss J. L. Stephens, Mrs E. Smithers, and Messrs H. E. Stephens and E. A. 11. Tanner. MAHANA TO LOAD. The Shaw, Savill, and Albion Company advises that tho Mahana is duo at Port Chalmers on January 11 from Australia to commence loading for England. The vessel will sail about January 15 for Bluff, thence Gisborne, Wellington, and Wanganui roadstead to complete loading.
