OBITUARY
MR RICHARD TEECE A Melbourne Press Association cabil records the death of Mr Richard Teece, who was well known throughout Australia and New Zealand as general manager of tho Australian Mutual Provident Society. He had a world? wide reputation as actuary. [Mr Teece was bom in Auckland, but never served his society in New Zealand. Ho went to Australia as a boy. entered the employ of tho A.M.P. at Sydney when fourteen years old, and rose from the lowest to the highest rank, becoming general manager and afterwards a director. Ho retired during the last twelve months upon reaching the age of eighty. Life insurance men gladly admit that he was one of tho world’s great actuaries, and there is authority for the statement that the success of the A.M.P. is largely due to his outstanding ability.]
