Exceptionally largo entries have been received for the cycling events, and such well-known riders as J. C. Fogarty, S. Bremford, C. Lucas, James (the ex-Wellington representative), S. Hodge (tho brilliant Christchurch sprinter), and Traill will bo taking part. The running events have also drawn splendid entries, and the mile handicap in particular is expected to provide one of the best races seen hero for a very long time, the scratch men including Lachie M'Lachlan, J. G, Barnes, L. Wood, and J. J. Morris, as brilliant a quartet as has been seen in Dunedin for years. Tho novelty relay—a man, a maid, and a bike—should provide a good deal of amusement. The cycling races will be the main feature of the programme. All will watch the performance of J. C. Foggarty, who, off a short mark, recently heat the New Zealand champion, F. J. Grose.
