LORD BIRKENHEAD AS EDITOR . POSITION WITH THE ‘ BRITANNIA,’ Press Association—By Teicj.'Kjih—Copyright. LONDON, December 13. The ‘ Daily Herald ’ states that the Earl of Birkenhead will take over the editorial control and wall join the directorate of the ‘ Britannia.’ A settlement is announced by the Chancery Court of Mr Gilbert Frankau’s action against the publishers to restrain them from interfering with him as editor and director. Mr Frankau has resigned, and it is reported that ho will receive £12,000 in view of his long, nnexpired agreement.—Australian Press Association.
