(Received December 11, at 11.5 a.m.) The War Department announces that Carl Eielsen, first lieutenant of the Air Corps Reserve, lias been awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross in connection with Sir Hubert Wilkin’s Arctic flight, which in the citation is designated as one of the most extraordinary accomplishments in history. —Australian Press Association-United Service.
