PROMOTIONS AND TRANSFERS (Pan United -Press Association.] WELLINGTON, December 10. ‘ The following promotions and transfers in the Police Force were announced to-day by tho Commissioner of Police (Mr W. B. MTlveney) • Sub-inspector J. Fahey, of Dunedin, is promoted to the rank of inspector. Senior-sergeant J. Cummings, of Auckland, is promoted to sub-inspector, and transferred to Dunedin. Senior-sergeant J. J. O’Grady, ot Newton Station (Auckland), takes charges of Auckland Central Station. Sergeant M. Flanagan, of Mount Eden Station, Auckland, is appointed to the grade ot senior-sergeant, and takes charge of Newton Station, Auckland. Detective-sergeant W. J. Butler, of Napier, is appointed to the grade of senior sergeant, and transferred .to Wellington. Detective T. Fitzgibbon, of Hastings, replaces Detective-sergeant Butler at Napier. Detective B. Parquharson is transferred from Dunedin to Hastings. Constable T. Campagnolo, of Epsom Station, Auckland, is promoted to sergeant, and will remain at Auckland. Detective J. K. Robertson, of Whangarei, is promoted to the rank of detective sergeau. Constable J. Edwards, of Hunterville, is promoted to the rank of sergeant, and transferred to Auckland. Constable W. H, Simister, at present on loan to the Cook Islands Administration for police duty at Rarotonga, is promoted to the rank of sergeant. Detective H. Nuttull, of Timaru, is promoted to the rank of detective sergeant, and transferred to Dunedin. Sergeant J. Fitzgerald, of Freeman’s Bay Station, Auckland, is transfored to charge of Thames Station, replacing Sergeant M'Donncll, who has retired. Detective L. Studboline, of Christchurch, replaces Detective-sergeant Nuttall at Timaru. The above promations will lake effect as from January 1, and - the transfers will bo effected as soon as possible.
