ZAGREB IN MOURNING

Tho Belgrade correspondent of ‘The Times ’ reports that the demonstrations have been renewed at Zagreb. Tho killing of the students was tho signal for mourning in the entire town, which quickly flow black flags. The authorities decided to carry out the official celebrations in tho evening with a military procession, with torchlights, flags, and bands, which traversed tho town. Tho crowds shouted angrily, and shots wero fired, upon which the police fired several killing one and wounding many others. Spasmodic firing continued until midnight, but tho town is quiet to-day. The police compelled tli© public to haul down tho mourning flags. The troops and officers aro confined to barracks in order to avoid conflicts. The Croat newspapers furiously condemn “ bloody festivities.”—London ‘ Times ’ Cable.
