RIFLE SHOTTING
KAiTAFIGATA SLUR The Kaitangata Rifle Club fired Iho first stage of the teams' match on Saturday, under good conditions, though the light was rather dull during a part of tho afternoon. Unfortunately the attendance was poor, but aa it is the two best shots out of three, there is. still a chance for the absentees to be in tho winning team. Tho veterans, G. and T. Frazer, both shot well, scoring 47 each at 500yds, T. Frazer having 92 and George 90 off the rifle. W. 1). Carson shot well, scoring 48 at 300yds and 45 at 500, while the crack, J. Frazer, was right off, nnd could only total 83 for the two ranges. Tho following "arc the scores, limit 94:
