Hy scooping with their hands n, funnel thirty yards long and over Jft high, sixteen convicts escaped _ from Grnndzindz Prison, in Pomerania, in a manner reminiscent of the Count ol Monte Cristo. Their absence was not noticed for several hours. Some of the fugitives raided a, tailor's shop and secured civilian clothes, then stole a motor ear. None of them have been recaptured.— United Service.
