HAYDN'S CREATION '
A performance of Haydn’s great oratorio will be given in First Church this evening by the choir, under the direction of Dr V. E. Galway. This work ranks only a little below the ‘ Messiah ’ in popularity, and many of the choruses and solos, notably ‘The Heavens are Telling/ ‘ln Native Worth,’ ‘ With Verdure Clad,’ and ‘ Rolling in Foaming Billows,’ are as well known as anything in Handel’s masterpiece. The soloists—Miss Eva Scott and Messrs Les. Dailey and J. D. M'Kechnie, can be depended upon to give a worthy rendering of the beautiful solos, duets, and trios in which the work abounds.
