RUTHLESS POLICY CONTINUED OPPONENTS EXTERMINATED Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright LONDON, November 18. ‘Tho Belgrade correspondent of tho ‘Manchester Guardian’ states that, despite a rigid censorship, a local newspaper learns from Sofia that Vautcha Mihailof, who became tho undisputed head of tho Comitadjis by murdering his rival, General Protogerolf, continues Ins policy of securing obcdieifte by exterminating his opponents. Tho inhabitants of Pctritch and Tchustcndil districts petitioned tho Government to intervene, and Mihailof secured the names of 100 _ loading petitioners and ordered their immediate execution. A majority of them lied to tho mountains, whore they were hunted down like animals. Eleven Comitadji committee men who refused tho oath of allegiance to Mihailof, wore sentenced to death, and six were shot at dawn. Tho others escaped, but were hunted and massac r cd.—A.l’.A.-U.S.
