ELECTION RESULTS
RADIO ARRANGEMENTS Instead of tho usual concert programme arranged for this evening, 4YA will bo on tho air continuously from 7 o’clock until probably well after midnight. During this time all progress reports received from tho various electorates throughout tho dominion will be broadcast.
Tho local results will bo announced immediately they aro available, hy corporation with tbo 1 Evening Star ’ Company. To enable the public to hear n full description of the broadcast news a special loud speaker equipment will be erected outside tho -ITA station in Horny place.
IYA (Auckland), 2YA (Wellington), and ,‘IYA (Christchurch) will also bo on the air with election results.
Election results will lie broadcast at the Empire Theatre to-night. The management has installed a six-valve wireless set for tho purpose of receiving results from all over Non’ Zealand, ami on receipt of these they will bo broadcast through a special .speaker installed in the theatre. During tho screening of pictures results will also appear on the screen. The local election results Avill ho run from tho board to tho theatre. Hy means of a microphone results will bo announced through the sound reproducer connected with the orchestrion already installed in tbo theatre, which will make the results easily heard all over the theatre. Hr S Hitt (the manager of tbo theatre) will do the announcing. KEEN INTEREST SHOWN STEADY VOTING AT BOOTHS For pulling day the weather was not too promising early m the morning, but save for a. light misty rain about 11 o’clock no tall was recorded. Provided the weather holds good tonight record crowds arc expected in town, as interest in the elections seems to havo been stimulated within tho past week. In all pans of tho Dunedin electorates the final rallies of the candidates were largely attended, ami tho indications arc that the elections will arouse nut a ]ittJo excitement, Ju tho country electorates polling closes at G p.m., while in the city electorates tho palls close at 7 p.m. Chalmers is classed as a city doctorate. At nearly all the Dunedin booths electors were waiting ior the doors to open at 1) a.m., and from that hour onwards a steady How of voters passed into tho many booths.

There is beautiful weather for tho polling, and a record vote i.s expected. There is very keen interest in East Eden and Urey Lynn and Auckland Suburbs, ail of which arc expected to be close contests.
WELLINGTON, November M. lirilliant weather prevails. The polling was very (piict during the morning, hut it was expected to liven up in tho afternoon. Keen interest is being manifested in regard to the Wellington North, Wellington East, and Until seats, which are expected to he close.
Tho announcement is made by tho management ol the other picture theatres that the election results will bo screened at various intervals during tho presentation of their programmes. This will he, welcomed hy all those who are desirous of. enjoying a, movie entertainment, and who are also keen to he conversant with tho slate of tho poll. In most of the theatres the programmes arc to he extended in order that the latent results may ho screened.
