SAILOR KILLED BY LORRY [Pkk United I’kess Association.] WELLINGTON, November 14. Circumstances which led to tho death ni Cyril Willia m Nesbitt, aged twentytwo, of lIAI.H. Dunedin, between Upper Jlutfc and Trcntham in tbo early morning of October 30, wore inquired into by J\lr Pago, S.M. Tbo evidence sho.ved that die men ha 1 been at a local hotel, and on the way bach to eainp at Trcntham, deceased became drowsy and lay down cm tho read. Mis companion, Leading Stoker Toy, sat down beside him, and later both were struck by a motor lorry. Deceased was taken to the police station and then to the doctor. In finding, that deceased was accidentally killed by being run over by a motor lorry, Mr Pago said tho lorry was badly lighted, and did not comply with the regulations, but ho was not satisfied that, even with good lights, tho accident could have been avoided, for tho two men in dark blue uniforms, and not moving, would bo hard to pick up.
