A number of his personal and political friends arc organising a tribute to Mr T. P. O’Connor, “ the father of tlio House of Commons,” who recently celebrated his eightieth birthday. It is understood that the tribute will take the form of an annuity, to be paid to Mr O’Connor during his lifetime. ■ Mr O’Connor has represented Liverpool Division in the House oj Commons since 1885.
