[Per Uxiteij Press Association.] WAIROA, October 30. Mr Holland, the Leader of tho Oilposition, addressed one of the largest political meetings ever held at Wairoa. receiving a. most enthusiastic hearing. His speed) was a vigorous fighting one, and was frequently punctuated with applause. Ho followed closely on the lines of his New Plymouth address, giving a clear indication of the Labour Party's views, castigating the Reform Government for its sins of commission and omission. Ho stressed _ Labour's land policy, condemned the high interest rates, and alleged that the Government was in the hands of the associated banks and financial institutions, which dictated its financial policy. He strongly criticised tax reductions beneiiiting ” the wealthy landowners, and assorted that land speculation and aggregation were encouraged by tho Government. which had wrecked the dairy co-operative marketing scheme. Ho advocated prosecuting remunerative public works, standard wages for relief unemployment; ridiculed the system of accounting, roundly condemned iniquitous Orders in Council, and playing with tho Licensing Bill. He received a unanimous vote of thanks.
