DUNEDIN NORTH SEAT.
TO THE EWTOiI. Sir,—l noticed Mr Tapley is in favour of members’ salaries being raised above £450 per crnum, as they have to keep two homes going. 1 think they are paid very well, as they are only in Wellington about five months of tho year. Does Mr Tapley over think bow the working man that is sent to the public works gets on? The majority of them have to keep two homos going also; they receive 12s a day. and have broken time on account of the bad weather. The United Party says that if tho Labour Party moves a uo-confi deuce motion it will vote with the Government every time, so I hope Dunedin North electors will give Mr Munro, who is a sane Labour man, a big vote, as he is held in very high esteem even by his opponents.— I am, etc., Noetii End. October 29.
