SHORTAGE OF FOOD CARD SYSTEM INTRODUCED. ’ P;css Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. LONDON, October 15. Tbo Riga correspondent of ‘The Thaos' states that tho Soviet’s executive bureau has introduced a card system in Moscow for important foodstuffs. Supplies of various staple products will bo restricted by the card system, which already exists in many towns. Tho prices of bread, flour, and grain have risen enormously, and there is a. serious scarcity of buckwheat mid millet, which arc important food items. —London ‘ Times ’ Cable.
