annual meeting of association The annual meeting of the Otago Yacht and Motor Boat Association was held last night, when there were present Messrs J. T. Paul (president), W. 0. Martin, T. Brooks, A. I). A.-her, F. Roswell, W. Sell, and T. I Anderson. The President expressed his pleasure that the majority ot Inst year's memI hers had been returned, and also extended a welcome to Mr A\ . Sell, a new delegate from the North-cast. Hnr- ' hour Club 1 SANDERS GUP. Mr Paul slated that the next Sanders Cup contest would be held at Akaron, and he was sure that this location would meet with the approval ; of boating men. ! CORNWELL CUP. In connection with the Cornwell Cup competition, the Chairman said that ho did not think the association should send a crew, to contest the cup next , vear. There were several reasons for , tins attitude, and Otago’s withdrawal might bo only a temporary one. j ft was finally decided that the association take no part in the. CornI well Cup contest conducted by the Taka puna Boating Club, and that a 'copy of the resolution he sent'to the | affiliated clubs. 0 E FIC E -BEARERS. ' j The Chairman said that it was unfortunate that the club bad chosen I that date for its opening day, as both 1 the Otago Yacht Club and the Ravens- | bourne Club were opening their seasons on the same day.—lt was decided j that the club in question be written to, pointing out that two affiliated clubs bad decided to open on November 10, and asking if it would bo pos* , sible to change the fixture to another date.
