SYDNEY WOOL SALES. | Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright | SYDNEY, October 10. At the wool sales the market is very firm for al! top lines of fleece, and good skirtings, but lower grades are still soiling irregularly. Bidding has been well distributed. The Russians’ buying has been a noticeable feature, and the Japanese, the French, nd the Belgians have been prominent. The sales totalled 11,001 bales. Greasy merino fleece sold to Sold. NATIONAL BUILDING SOCIETY. A meeting of members of the above society was fceld on Monday night for the purpose of disposing of £I,OOO by sale In No. 1 group four tenders were received, the higliest being £45 per 100 for £OOO. In No. 2 group there were also four tenders, the highest again being £45 per 100 for £6OO. The chairman stated that applications for shares in the new No. 3 group were still corning in freely, and the directors hoped to have sufficient shares in hand to enable the group to bo opened tins month.
