, ST. PATRICK’S St Patrick’s Club concluded its season by walking to Waitati. A largo representative gathering of past and present members attended, and the assembly stepped out from Duke street at a steady pace. At tho summit a halt was called before descending into Waitati, which was reached shortly after 5 p.m. After a short while tea was dispensed, which was thoroughly enpoyed by tho Hampers. CAVERSHAM Caversham held its Onc-iniio Consolation Handicap at Forbury Bark, when an excellent field faced the starter, Mr .7. W. Tapp. From a good start tho limit, men set a solid pace, and on passing tho stand for tho first time, Herbert, T. D. Emmerson, Day. and Pearce were in the leading positions. In the hack straight for the last time tho scratch men were coining up last. Rounding the bend, Mills took the lead from Airey, H. T. Emmerson, and 10. P. Rowlatt, and in a fast finish Airey came through and beat Mills by 2yds, Emmerson being third, syds further back. Tho placings were as follow: — S Airey 1, A. J. Mills 2, H. T. Emmerson 3. E. P.
