COMPETITIONS FESTIVAL

THIS SWING’S SESSION His Majesty’s Theatre, was occupied with" two ’sections of children’s dancing this morning, the results being as follow ; Step Dancing, Boys or Girls, under ]2 Eight competed, and Mr Kuowslcy recalled Ethel Todd, Olga, Ferguson, ami Naneey Blair. Classic Dance, barefoot, under 12. From tho nine competitors Joyce Todd, Ethel Todd, and Olga Ferguson were recalled, TO-NIGHT'S PROGRAMME. An exceedingly interesting programme will bo -presented this evening, commencing with the piano duo, ‘ Valso No. 2.’ This is always a very attractive item. This will bo followed by the skipping ropo dance, recitation under twelve (own selection), vocal solo (ladies, own selection), Highland ilirig, humorous recitation (twelve ami under sixteen), song for girls (‘ Snowflakes’), fancy dance (character), recitation (gentlemen, ‘The Crowning of Dreaming John ’), vocal solo (gentlemen, own selection), sailor’s hornpipe, and classic dance. To-morrow afternoon two very interesting competitions will !>e held in His Majesty’s Theatre—vocal solo (ladies, open to all) and ballad and Irish folk .song (gentlemen, own selection).

Patrons are reminded that the box plan for tho demoiwt I'atimi concerts is now open, and they should not delay in securing their seats for tho concerts, when threo delightful programmes will ho presented by the prize winners. There will also be a matinee on Saturday afternoon, when many of the most attractive children’s items will ho prosen ted.
