AMUSEMENTS. LEON GORDON’S LATEST TRIUMPH. BRILLIANT SUCCESS OP •SCANDAL.’ Cosmo Hamilton’s famous and daring comedy was received last evening with much more enthusiasm than when it was originally staged in Dunedin. LEON GORDON’S Incomparable Presentation of the role of Pelham Franklin must entitle him to rank with the greatest comedy and dramatic artists who have ever appeared in Dunedin. His genius was expressed at its highest in the sensational bedroom scene, which created, a furore of enthusiasm. May Collins, too, scored an outstanding success as Beatrix Vanderdyko, and the all-round excellence of the cast assisted to make last night’s revival of ' Scandal ’ a very memorable production.
