SECONDARY SCHOOLS’ TOURNAMENT The final of_the Secondary Schools Tournament will be played at Carisbrook on Thursday. The two matches played on Monday provided some of tho brightest football witnessed this season. Tho second spell of tho match Timaru v. Southland was a groat game and patrons were worked np to a high state of excitement at tho manner in which the Southland School rose to the occasion, and from a hopeless position made a draw of tho game, while the Otago team put up a great game against tho strong Christchurch team, and were only defeated in tho last stages. The finals on Thursday _ afternoon should prove even more thrilling, and the public can look forward to witnessing two great games at Garisbrook on Thursday afternoon. OTAGO v. CANTERBURY. On Saturday the time-honoured fixture between Otago and Canterbury will be played and should provide one of the best games of the season. The Canterbury haye a good side, both back and forward, and nave put up great games in all their engagements so far this season. Tho Otago selectors have included five of the country team that recently toured north, and these players are expected to considerably strengthen tho local side. Asa curtainraiser the Otago junior reps will meet the Canterbury senior B team representatives. The box plan will open on Thursday and will close at 11.30 a.m. on Saturday, Official guides will bo on sale as advertised-
