TROUBLE IN QUEENSLAND MARITIME UPHEAVAL FEARED Press Association—By Telegraph— Copyright BRISBANE, August 16. (Received August 16, at 9.30 a.m.) The waterside workers are boycotting different vessels at Cairns and Bowen. Those chiefly affected are theEumaeus, the Fiona, the Cruugal, and the Port Pirie. The dispute is due to dissatisfaction with the recently-announced award and the employment of free labour on certain vessels during the recent cooks’ strike. Friction is reported also from Fremantle, where the watorsiders are demanding concessions for unloading nitrates. Fears are entertained of another maritime upheaval.
