A party of between 140 and 150 persons, including about twenty women, members of the Institution of Chemical Engineers and the Society of Chemical Industry, are leaving England to make a live weeks’ industrial and scientific tour of the eastern cities of Canada and the United States. The tour will conclude in time for them to attend the annual general meeting of the Society of Chemical Industry, which takes place in New York during the second week of September, The party includes Sir Alexander Gibb and Mr Reavell, president and vice-president of the Institution of Chemical Engineers.
