JUVEHILE LODGE ANNIVERSARY Kensington Juvenile Lcdgo celebrated its seventh birthday on Saturday evening in the lodge room, Kensington. Adult members, parents, and friends accepted, an invitation to be present, and considerably augmented, the usual number. The president (Bro. E. Sudden) was in the chair, and supporting him were the principal officers of the lodge, the District Deputy Grand Master, while Grand Lodge was represented by the Grand Secretary (Bro. I*. Wilkinson) and Grand Treasurer (Bro, L. D. Bitclne). Alter the chairman had appropriately extended a welcome to those present a varied programme of vocal and instrumental items was rendered by the juvenile members, assisted by friends and the 1* orbury School Band, under the instructor (Mi’ Eagar). The P.athe Baby Cinema also contributed half an hour’s entertainment, Addresses were delivered by tho Grand Secretary, who took as his theme ‘Loyalty,’ tho Grand Treasurer, and the "D.D.'G.M., nil congratulating the lodge upon seven years’ successful work, and wishing a continuation of prosperity ami extension. Prises were distributed to tho winners of various competitions held during the year bv Past President Bro. C. A. Bolton, P.D.D.G.M., who also presented to the N.G. a birthday cake, which was adorned with seven candles (one for every year of existence), Tho N.G. proceeded to cut tho cake, anti supper was served. Tho Chairman expressed tho thanks of the lodge to all who had contributed to the success of the evening, especially mentioning tho band, who had assisted at each of tho preceding anniversaries; the operator of the cinema, Bro. W. Townsend, secretary of the lodge, for his energy and enthusiasm in the cause of juvenile Oddfcllowship, which had inspired him to collect funds for the purchase of tho machine in an endeavour to not only amuse, but educate tho boys and ultimately hand it into tho custody of tho District Lodge. The singing of the National Anthem terminated tho proceedings.
