BENEFIT CONCERT

On Sunday, August 19, at the Octagon Theatre a benefit concert will be given for the widow and family of the lato Mr R. B. Wills (a noted local musician) by the Octagon Theatu, Orchestra (augmented), under the conductorship of M. De Rose, assisted by Messrs John Beech and Arthur Lungley. Mr Charles A, Martin, will officiate at the organ. A very attractive programme has been arranged. The following items will be included:—The paraphrase on Dr Mason’s ‘ Nearer, My God, to Thee ’; song, ‘ The Holy City ’ (Adams), Mr Arthur Lungley (with orchestral accompaniment) i ‘ Eiegie ’ (Lubomirsky); song, ‘My Dream’ (Tosti), Mr John Leech (with orchestral accompaniment) ; ‘ Allegro Moderate,’ from 1 Symphony in B Minor ’ (Schubert). It is hoped that the concert will attract a very large afterchurch audience, for the occasion is one deserving of the whole-hearted support of this community.
