SECOND TEST AT DUNEDIN. [Pea U.virro Peess Association,] AUCKLAND, August 8. The council of the Now Zealand Rugby League met to-night. Mr W. Mincham was appointed referee for the Auckland v. England match on Saturday The incident that caused the second spell of last Saturday’s test match to bo commenced whilo six of the New Zealand players wero off the field was also discussed. Mr Snedden said the onus was on the players, wfio wilfully disobeyed the referee’s instructions to remain on Hie ground. It was decided to inform the members of the Auckland team that they must remain on the ground on Saturday. , , ~ Arrangements for tiie despatch of tho New Zealand team to Duxjedin for the second test against England were discussed. . „ . Mr W. Murray, .one of the selectors, said that those likely to be chosen had been approached, and it was intended that the team should leave Auckland on Monday. Tho local members of tho New Zealand team had been training during tho week. It was decided, that while the team was touring _an additional allowance would bo paid to tne married men. Tho team will be nnit.lj chosen on Saturday. INTERNATIONAL FIXTURE. Tho International Rugby League fixture between New Zealand and England will be played at the Caledonian Ground on Saturday, August 18. This fixture will be the real test of strength between England and New Zealand at Rugby League. New Zealand has come out of her first test against the visitors with honours, but the scores indicate that there is very little between the teams, both of which play brilliant football and throw the ball about breezily in sweeping passing movements that frequently cover the length of the field. Tho box plan arrangements for tho match are advertised.
