THRASHED HER FOR MONEY
GAOL FOR BRUTAL MAH [Pse United Press Association.! CHR ISTGHUBII, July 20. Cyril Sydney Arthur Miller, aged thirty-nine, a .salesman, was to-day sentenced to six months, with bard labour, by fho magistrate (Mr Mosoly), for assaulting Mary Miller, and elderly woman, with whom he lived. The police said the woman bud an interest in an hotel in the south, and when money became dud, the accused beat her unmercifully to obtain some. Accused said the woman fell down.
The magistrate : “ Well, she won’t fall .again. Six months’ hard.”
