(British Official Wireless.) iftfaa Allocation—By Telegraph—Copyright RUGBY, July 12, In accordance with the decision of the joint conference for securing cooperation between Capital and Labour, an interim report of tne conference 9 as yesterday submitted to two of the leading employers' organisations, and special committees were set up by each to ascertain the views of members The report, inter alia, recommends the creation of a national industrial council, the main functions of which would be to hold regular meetings for the renewal of consultations on the widest questions concerning industry and industrial progress; to establish a joint standing committee for the appointment of joint conciliation boards; and to establish machinery for continu-

The council of the Federation ol British Industries, in referring the report to a committee, promised most sympathetic consideration of the recommendations, and declared itself wholeheartedly in favour of the prime objects of the conference. The committee which the federation has appointed will confer with the National Federation of Employers' organ the council of which passed a resolution yesterday recognising the far-reaching nature o* tho questions raised and submitting a report to the individual} federations within its membership, and referring it to a committee for a full report. The questions raised in the report of the conference will be the principal subject of discussion at the sixth trades union • conference at Swansea in September, and the principle of closer cooperation involved in the report will, it is expected, play a very important part in tho elections to tho new genoral council of the congress.
