DUNEDIN STOCE EXCHANGE. Tho tone of the market this week ha* been brisk, and most stocks show an upward tendency. All banks have bean freely dealt in, and Bank of New South Wales particularly show a strong advance, with buyers at £49, and no sellers quoting. Bank of New Zealands wera ex dividend this morning, with buyers at £2 19s and sellers at £3. National Insurances provided a close market, and 2d divided the buyer and seller Huddart, Parkers have firmed up owing to the settlement of th<* strike in Australia, and buyers offered £2 7s 6d, the sellers quoting £2 8s 3d. ■ West-port-Stocktons havo been dealt in at 3s, and 3s 9d was offered for the preference issue. Dalgety and Co.'e have had a strong rise, -and closed with buyers at £l4 12s 6d. The other agency stocks all showed an upward tendency. New Zealand Refrigerating Co. (fully-paid issue) also provided a close market at 18s to 13s 3d, and 8s 7d was offering for the contributing issue, with no seller quoting British Tobaccos havo improved, and the quotation was: Buyers £2 2s 6d, sellers £2 3s 3d. Dominion Rubbers have attracted some notice, buyers offering £1 83 6d this morning, and the selling quotation was £1 12s 6d. New Zealand Paper Mills improved slightly. Waihi Grand Junctions havo been fre-quently-dealt in off 'Change, and there were buyers at Is 4d and sellers at,la 6d. Electrolytic Zincs showed some improvement, with buyers of tho preference issuo at £1 13s, and of tho ordinary at £1 lis 3d. There wore buyers for most Government Debentures, the only selling quotation being for 1938 Inscribed Stock at £9B Sale Reported.—Kaiapoi Woollen (pref.), 14s 3d..
