HURUNUI SEAT

REFORM ELECTORS WANT MR NOSWORTHY [Special to thb ' Stab.’] CHRISTCHURCH, June 11. According to the ‘Sun,’ a strong movement is afoot in Hurunni electorate among Reform supporters to get the Hon. \V. Nos worthy (PostmasterGeneral) to stand for the electorate this year in the Reform interest. At present Mr Nosworthy represents Ashburton electorate, but the new boundaries have made that seat into the mid-Canterbury seat, and have done away with Ellosmcro electorate, which is reprekinted by Mr David Jones (Reform) . There has been’a suggestion that Mr Nosworthy is . inclined to retire from politics this year and to take a seat in the Upper House. A strong effort will bo made, however, to get him to stand for Hurunui, so that Mr Jones may stand for mid-Canterbury.
