CRIMINAL SITTINGS

GISBORNE The Gisborne Supremo Court opened this morning before Mr Justice Ostler. There was only one case for trial, a Maori being charged with the theft of wool. Peter Elder Ramsay (burglary) was admitted to probation for two years. Mootn Haua. aged twenty-three (carnal knowledge) was sentenced to eighteen months’ reformative detention.
