ACCIDENTS AND DEATHS
MOTORING MISHAPS. A motor car driven by Henry Ingram and owned by AV. Ingram ran into the incoming Rotorua train at the Ranolf street level crossing at noon yesterday. The car, which was badly was dragged to the cattle stop. The driver, who was the sole occupant, was practically uninjured. The failure of the brakes is stated to have been the cause of the accident. A GOVERNMENT VALUER'S DEATH. At the inquest concerning the death of Mr Richard Lyall Craik Phillips, a Government Valuer, who was killed as the result of a motor car going over a hank to the railway line at Wadestown. a verdict was returned that deceased died from head injuries in an accident with a motor car.—Wellington Press Association telegram.
