Tho West Carmona, which arrived hero yesterday from tho Pacific Coast via Northern ports, is to sail on Saturday for Apia, Honolulu, and San Francisco. When next the vessel comes to New Zealand her name will bo the Golden State. The Holmdale sailed last night for Oamaru, Timaru, Lytclton, Wellington, and Wanganui. Tho Kahika sailed last night for Napier and Gisborne via ports. Tho Kurow sailed last night for Bluff and Port Craig. The Corinna left last evening for Ne!«on and New Plymouth via ports. The Gale has been further delayed at Lyttelton by rain, and was expected to leave there to-day for Dunedin. She is due here now to-morrow evening to load and sail on Thursdav for Timaru, Lyttelton. Wellington, 'lid Wanganui. The Karctu was to sail this afternoon for Oamaru and Lyttelton to discharge the remainder of her cargo from Australia. The Onion Company’s vessel Waitern ata left Ocean Falls on Thursday for San Francisco and Los Angeles to comwlete loading for Weellington, Melbourne, Adelaide, and Sydney. On her return voyage to New Zealand the Union Company’s tanker Otokia is reported to have left Los Angeles last week. THE FERRY SERVICE. Tho Maori, from Wellington, arrived at Lyttelton at 6.50 a.m. to-dav, and passengers and mails connected with the first express for tho south, C. AND D. STEAMERS. Messrs J. W. Swift and Co. advise the following movements of the C. and 1). steamers: — The Port Sydney, from Brisbane and Bluff, is now due here on June 23 for Homeward loading. She will complete taking in cargo at Wanganui, Napier, and Wellington. The Port Napier, which loaded Homewards in New Zealand and left Auckland on April 18 for London via New York and Halifax, arrived at her final destination on June 10. MAHIA LEAVES MONTEVIDEO. The Mahia, from Wellington, left Montevideo on Thursday afternoon for London, where she is due on June 27. MAMARI REPORTED. Er: route from Auckland the Mamari is reported to have sailed from Montevideo on Thursday morning for London, where she is due on June 27. PAPANUI LOADING. Cabled news has been received that tho Papanui arrived at Montreal on Tuesday last to commence loading for Now Zealand ports. She will loaa also at Sydney (C. 8.), New York, and Newport ‘News. The vessel is to get away from Newport Nows on June 30 for Auckland, Napier, Wellington, Lyttelton, and Dunedin. Tho Papanui is duo at Auckland about August 4. PERSONAL. Tho Maori has re-entered the ferry service, and is in command of Captain A. H. Prosser. His deck officers are; Chief, Mr T. S. M'Nicol; second, Mr J S. Geaton; third, Mr J. Wathng. Captain G. B. Morgan is now in command of the Maheno, and Captain W. D. Cameron, of the Wahinc, is being granted holiday leave. Mr A. W. Pert has been appointed second officer of tho Waikouaiti, relieving Mr T. A. Mack for holidays. Mr W. A. Dohru has joined the Oonah as second officer, relieving Mr F. W. Gibson for instructions. Mr O. C.
